Personal Essay - Becoming a Computer Engineer

For the past six historic period, I find been doing a people of soul searching to the highest academic degree what I am handout to do with my life. I have g nonpareil from being a pharmacy technician, a detailer for a car dealership, and a multitude policeman in the f any in States Air-Force (USAF). I was jumping from one field to a nonher, and I did not have a virtuoso of direction on what I was going to be in life. Then one night, tour I was surfing the nett with my MacBook Pro, I clicked the track-pad to search for crumb fights on YouTube, and a worst clicked in my head. I had an epiphany. I was meant to be a estimator engineer, and I envisioned myself in an IBM commercial wearing a lab coat oer a nice Italian suit babbling around a certain theatrical role of innovation I am working on for computers, and how I am building a smarter planet. This prompted me to research the travel plan to acquiring a unmarried mans degree in computer engineering, general descript ion and job outlook of the occupation, and a practical skill I destiny to learn in case of an apocalyptic event.\nI found out that it would be a long and sound path to attain a bachs degree in computer engineering. In modulate to start my life as a computer hardware engineer, I would need to obtain a bachelors degree in a computer engineering program recognized by the ABET (formerly the Accreditation Board for design and Technology) (United States). To get my bachelors degree, I am soon attending Southwestern College (SWC), and I am planning to imparting to SDSU or UCSD because both universities tender engineering programs accredited by the ABET. To prepare for my major, SWC requires me to finish all of my general education requirements. This consists of an all-encompassing list of math, physics, and a duo of engineering courses which may reach me two to three years to accomplish in order to transfer to one of my favored universities.
